Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies established in Uzbekistan

In accordance with the document, the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies will be formed under the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies.

It is noted that from the 2020/2021 academic year:

•  the university has the right to develop educational standards, qualification requirements, curricula and programs, as well as to develop and approve a system for assessing students’ knowledge and ensuring the integration of the educational process with training, taking into account international best practices;
•  the educational process at the university is carried out on the basis of a step-by-step credit-module system;
•  curricula and science courses of joint educational programs organized in cooperation with foreign universities are independently approved by TSUOS in coordination with foreign partners;
•  the university organizes permanent retraining and advanced training courses for teachers of Oriental language educational institutions, and a certificate is issued to teachers who successfully pass the courses.

Research Center for the Study of Oriental Culture and Heritage, as well as a Research and Analytical Center for Research on Development of the Eastern Countries, will be also established at the University.
