Uzbekistan plans to conduct 400 thousand tests for coronavirus

“To date, more than 100 thousand tests for coronavirus have been conducted. In the near future, it is planned to bring this figure to half a million,” he said.

According to Akilov, tests for COVID-19 should be conducted only if one feels symptoms of the virus.

“The treatment of this disease is not cheap. However, in Uzbekistan, all costs associated with coronavirus are covered by the state. The treatment of quarantined patients in all quarantine zones is free of charge,” he added.
