Coronavirus: Death toll reaches 7 in Uzbekistan
Another patient died of coronavirus in Namangan.
The Ministry of Health reported that a patient diagnosed with the coronavirus infection in the Namangan region died of acute respiratory and cardiovascular failure.
“On April 14 this year, a 54-year-old resident (female) of Namangan G. was admitted to the regional infectious diseases hospital in critical condition. Immediate laboratory analysis confirmed the presence of coronavirus infection. She had previously been diagnosed with chronic hypertension and diabetes. The woman was taken to the intensive care unit of the regional infectious diseases hospital on April 17.
Her daily condition had been under the supervision of leading specialists of medical institutions specializing in this field in our country. They have held regular consultations.
However, despite all the necessary measures taken by specialists, the patient died of acute respiratory and cardiovascular failure,” the Ministry of Health said.
The number of coronavirus victims in Uzbekistan has now reached seven, with four deaths in the Namangan region alone.
