Taylak district of Samarkand region closed for quarantine
Starting from 06:00 a.m., April 24, entry and exit to the Taylak district of the Samarkand region is restricted, Zarnews.uz reported in its Telegram channel.
“For the effective organization of quarantine measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic, entry and exit to the Taylak district will be restricted from 06:00 of April 24, 2020,” the report said.
According to Kun.uz correspondent, concrete barriers are installed between the villages of the district, and the movement of citizens is restricted. Only one road is open to the district center. Only motor vehicles delivering goods to grocery stores, vehicles with special permits, and ambulances can run between the villages.
At the end of March, a checkpoint was established on the border between Samarkand and Taylak districts, cars traveled only with special permits.
For reference, more than 200 thousand people live in the Taylak district. Taylak borders with Jambay, Urgut and Samarkand districts.
