Rare pictures: Snow leopards caught in camera trap in Kashkadarya
Notoriously elusive snow leopards have been caught by a camera trap in the Gissar State Reserve.
A camera trap in the Gissar State Reserve in Kashkadarya region photographed two snow leopards. This was reported by the State Committee on Ecology.
It was noted that on April 26, 2020, when checking the materials captured by the camera trap installed in the Qizilsuv unit of the Reserve, it was found that the camera photographed two snow leopards on March 16, 2020, at 18:30.

It is said that the snow leopard is an animal that lives in the high snow ridges of Uzbekistan. It is one of the rarest species of fauna on the planet.
There are an estimated 4,000 to 6,500 snow leopards in the wild, and the species is listed as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
That's why big cat conservationists are studying the leopards in an effort to learn more about them and keep them from going extinct.
