“An increase in the number of infected is not associated with the mitigation of quarantine measures” – Expert
Khabibulla Oqilov, a member of the staff for the fight against coronavirus, said that new cases of coronavirus infection are detected mainly among those who are in quarantine.
On May 1-9, daily coronavirus infection cases in the republic averaged 34 people. However, over the past three days, this figure has not dropped below 60.
According to the staff member for combating coronavirus at the Ministry of Health Khabibulla Oqilov, new cases of infection are detected mainly among those who are in quarantine.
He noted that the new cases were mainly related to the following three categories of citizens:
- people who are brought back by charter flights from abroad;
- people who return to the country by car through other countries;
- truckers.
“Among the rest of the population, infection cases are few, and this is not related to the mitigation of quarantine measures,” Oqilov said.
It was previously reported that within three days, about 800 Uzbeks were returned from Dubai, Minsk, Seoul and Delhi by charter flights.
