According to the Ministry of Health, 16 more people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan, bringing the total number of cases to 2,636.
“As of 15:00, May 14, the number of coronavirus infection cases in the country stands at 2,636,” the ministry said in a statement.
Of the confirmed 16 new cases, 6 were detected in citizens who arrived from abroad and placed in quarantine, and 10 – in those who are undergoing treatment in quarantine institutions.
At present, 2,136 people have completely recovered from the coronavirus infection in the country, 11 people died. The recovery rate is 81%.
Of the 489 patients currently undergoing treatment, 11 are in serious condition.
