New press secretary of Central Bank Chairman appointed

By a decision of the Board of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, Akmal Nazarov has been appointed press secretary and adviser to the Central Bank Chairman on information policy, the regulator’s website reported.
It should be recalled that from January 16, 2020, this position was held by N. Abdullayev.
Akmal Nazarov was born in the city of Tashkent. In 2004, he graduated from the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages with a bachelor’s degree in International Journalism, in 2007 he graduated from the National University of Uzbekistan with a master’s degree in Public Relations.
He began his career in 2004 as a commentator at the National News Agency of Uzbekistan. Later he worked as a news editor on Poytaxt FM radio, a correspondent for Bank Axborotnomasi newspaper, editor in a number of magazines.
Since January 2020, Nazarov worked as Deputy Director of the Department for Public Relations and Communication Policy of the Central Bank.
The press secretary of the CB Chairman is simultaneously the Director of the Department for Public Relations and Communication Policy.
