Bukhara becomes coronavirus-free zone
The Ministry of Health reported that the next group of coronavirus patients in Namangan, Bukhara and Samarkand recovered and a total of 31 people were discharged. In particular, the last two patients were cured in Bukhara, and the region has become a coronavirus-free zone.
In the Bukhara region, 2 patients, who have been discharged and escorted to the rehabilitation center, are currently the last coronavirus patients in the region. Both of them are from Bukhara and have contracted the coronavirus infection through contact with patients. One of the recovered is a 53-year-old woman and the other – a 6-year-old girl.
“A total of 442 infection cases were reported in the region, thanks to the efforts of our dedicated doctors, all of them have fully recovered from the disease,” the Public Relations Department of the Health Ministry said.
For information, as of now, Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya and Fergana regions have become coronavirus-free zones. Also, patients from the Syrdarya region (21 people) were brought to Tashkent on 15 May, and no new cases of coronavirus infection in the region have been recorded in recent days.
Currently, the number of people who have fully recovered from the coronavirus infection across the country is 2,438.
