New cases of coronavirus infection detected among the general public in Tashkent and Samarkand
In Tashkent and the Samarkand region, new cases of coronavirus infection are again being detected among the general public.
As the press service of the Ministry of Health reported, as of May 23, 2020 (17:00) in Uzbekistan, the number of coronavirus infection cases stands at 3,089 (+11).
“Of the confirmed new cases, 1 was detected in a person, who arrived on a Dubai-Tashkent charter flight, and another 1 – in a trucker entering Uzbekistan through Kazakhstan,” the press service said.
The remaining 9, in particular, 2 cases in the capital, 7 cases in the Samarkand region were identified among the general public.
“All citizens, who came into contact with these patients, are placed under strict quarantine in the established manner,” the Ministry of Health noted.
