Uzbekistan temporarily suspends adoption of departmental laws and regulations
Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on measures to further improve the activities of law institutions in the implementation of state legal policy.
According to the document, in order to systematize legislation and reduce excessive legal regulation, the adoption of departmental normative legal acts is suspended from July 1, 2020 to January 1, 2021.
Departmental regulations on introducing amendments, supplementing, recognizing as invalid, as well as providing for their unification are regarded as exceptions.
In addition, the drafting, negotiation, adoption and conduct of legal reviews and state registration of draft departmental regulations will be carried out through a single electronic system for the development and approval of draft regulations. Starting from July 1, 2020, it works in a test mode, and from October 1, 2020 – it operates fully.
