86 passengers of St. Petersburg-Tashkent charter flight test positive for coronavirus
The largest number of coronavirus-infected passengers on chartered flights organized to return our compatriots from abroad was recorded on 14 May. According to the Ministry of Health, 86 passengers of this flight were infected with COVID-19.
The press service of the ministry reports that 4,056 citizens have returned to Uzbekistan on 17 charter flights over the past 14 days.
In the past two weeks, 11,216 people have passed through the border posts.
Together with the citizens who were in contact with them, in total, 20,035 people were placed under quarantine.
In the past two weeks, 734 Uzbek citizens were diagnosed with COVID-19, with 238 of them being quarantined in the Yukorichirchik district quarantine center, Tashkent region.
The largest number of infection cases among citizens who arrived on charter flights was recorded on the flight “St. Petersburg-Tashkent” on May 14. 86 people were diagnosed with the coronavirus.
Among those traveling through border posts, the largest number of cases was found among citizens coming from Kazakhstan through the “Gishtkuprik” border post – 99 of them tested positive for the virus.
