Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan to launch a joint investigation into the incident at the border
First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov and Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov met at the checkpoint Chechme-Avtodorozhniy in the Batken region.
During the meeting, the clashes between the residents of border districts were discussed, Khalk Suzi reports.
The parties expressed regret about the incident at the border. They decided to take measures to prevent the exacerbation of the situation, ease tension and not let similar incidents happen in the future.
Kubatbek Boronov and Abdulla Aripov exchanged views on bilateral cooperation and other pressing issues.
The parties agreed to conduct a joint investigation into the case.
