Coronavirus: Death toll reaches 16 in Uzbekistan

According to the Ministry of Health, on June 2, a 72-year-old man in Tashkent was diagnosed with the coronavirus infection, after which he was hospitalized at the clinic of the Virology Research Institute.

It is noted that the patient has long been suffering from coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, hypertension and diabetes. Also, in 2000 and 2019, the man suffered two myocardial infarction.

“Despite the medical assistance provided, he died from cardiopulmonary failure and acute cerebrovascular pathology,” the report said.
