Around 20 thousand km of roads will be repaired in Fergana in 2020
About 20 thousand km of roads will be repaired in the Fergana region in 2020 at the expense of the Anti-Crisis Fund, the state budget and funds from the World Bank. This was announced during a regular session of the International Press Club on June 7, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
It is noted that out of 20 thousand, more than 200 km are roads of international importance, over 870 km – of republican importance and about 3 thousand km – of local importance.
Repair work will be carried out in accordance with modern technologies previously applied in the Khorezm, Syrdarya and Samarkand regions.
During the meeting, it also became known that by 2024 due to the specialization of the Altyaryk district of the Fergana region in viticulture it is planned:
- to create 12 thousand jobs;
- to bring the area of vineyards to 3 thousand hectares;
- to increase harvest to 160 thousand tons;
- to export 110 tons of grapes worth $170 million.
Earlier it was reported that a ring railway connecting all regions of the Fergana Valley would be built.
