SSS officers prevent sale of “Tramadol” drug
A total of 21,981 units of “Tramadol” tablets were seized as a result of the operational measures.
The Office of State Security Service for the Fergana region, together with officials of the Regional Department of Internal Affairs carried out joint operational action, and in the course of the event, officers stopped a Lacetti car in the Dangara district, Kokand city, which was coming from Tashkent.
During the examination of the car in the presence of witnesses, 11 thousand “Tramadol” tablets were found in the salon. They belonged to the passengers of the car Hamidov and Yokubov, residents of Kokand, UzA reported.
It was identified that these drugs were intended for further sale in Kokand.
At another operational event, 9,985 units were found under the front seat of a Nexia-3 car in which citizens Bitileyev and Saburov were stopped by officers in the Turtkul district. These drugs were also intended for sale.
It was identified that these medicines had been smuggled by Kazakh affiliates of the above-mentioned individuals into the territory of the Takhtakupir district of Karakalpakstan and were hidden in a predetermined location.
As a result of the operational measures at his place of residence, a local shepherd Vaisov was arrested for taking hidden medicines from the stash and conveying them to Bitileyev and Saburov.
In addition, during an operational event conducted by the staff of the SSS Navoi Region Office, jointly with the staff of the Regional Department of Internal Affairs, a Lacetti car of a local resident Bobomurodov was stopped in the Nurtan district. During the examination of the car, 996 units of “Tramadol” tablets were found in the salon and seized in the prescribed manner.
As a result of the operational measures carried out, a total of 21,981 units of “Tramadol” tablets were seized.
Criminal proceedings have now been instituted under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and investigations are underway.
In accordance with the decision of Cabinet of Ministers dated October 27, 2018, the medicine “Tramadol” is included in the list of narcotic drugs.
