Two “Suvsoz” employees die in sewage well in Tashkent
During prophylactic works in sewage well, two employees of “Suvsoz” SUE were poisoned with toxic gas and died, the press service of the Tashkent State Department of Internal Affairs reports.
“Today, 12 June, at around 9:00-9:30 a.m., during the prophylactic work, two workers of the State Water Supply Department “Suvsoz” went down into the sewage well located on the Little Ring Road in the Yakkasara district of Tashkent. Inside, they, presumably, had asphyxiation caused by accumulated poisonous gases and died,” the report says.
A 42-year-old man, who attempted to rescue them, was taken to hospital with signs of gas poisoning.
It is noted that witnesses called the ambulance and reported the incident. The causes of their death are being established.
