Newly appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan hands over his credentials to Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan
On June 13, newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan Khurshid Mirzahidov handed over his credentials to the Foreign Minister of the country Chingiz Aidarbekov.
According to the MFA press service of Kyrgyzstan, the parties discussed current issues in Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation and outlined areas for further cooperation.
“We pay special attention to the negotiation process between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border, as well as to the activities planned for 2020,” the report states.

The diplomat expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm welcome and stressed his readiness to make every effort to enhance Kyrgyz-Uzbek bilateral cooperation.

Previously, the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan had informed that the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Khurshid Mirzahidov, had arrived in Bishkek on 30 May.
Khurshid Mirzahidov was born in 1971 in Tashkent. In 1995 he graduated from the Tashkent Electrotechnical Institute of Communications.
He was once Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications.
He also served as Chairman of the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan and Deputy Chairman of the Road Committee under the Ministry of Transport.
