Second earthquake shakes Uzbekistan in a day
In Tashkent and a number of regions of Uzbekistan, mild tremors were felt at 14:21 on June 16, as a 5.3 magnitude earthquake hit Afghanistan.
According to the Republican Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring under the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the depth of the quake was 214 km in the neighboring republic.

• Namangan: 482 km, 2 points
• Andijan: 471 km, 2 points
• Fergana: 416 km, 2 points
• Gulistan: 455 km, 2 points
• Jizzakh: 458 km, 2 points
• Samarkand: 469 km, 2 points
• Bukhara: 705 km, 2 points
• Termez: 319 km, 2 points
• Karshi: 501 km, 2 points
• Navoi: 603 km, 2 points
Earlier at 6:30 in the morning, mild tremors were felt in Uzbekistan, after an earthquake of 5.5 magnitude jolted Tajikistan.
