Uzbekistan exported gold for $1.64 billion in Jan-May

In January-May 2020, Uzbekistan exported gold worth $1.64 billion. This is evidenced by the State Statistics Committee data.
According to the committee, the increase compared to January-May 2019 was 33.3%. In January-May 2020, the share of gold in exports amounted to 31.9%.
It should be noted that in recent years Uzbekistan has increased gold exports. It exceeded $823.9 million in 2015, $738.2 million in 2016, $1.6 billion in 2017, $2.91 billion in 2018 and $4.9 billion in 2019.
