Ministry of Innovative Development announces a competition of projects on improving the area in the Aral Sea region
Winners will be allocated grants from the pool of $100 thousand for the implementation of their projects.
The Ministry of Innovative Development and the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA) have announced a joint “Competition of innovative start-up projects in the saline lands of the Aral Sea region”, the ministerial press service reported.
Selection criteria:
• practical solution to existing saline land problems;
• relevance, accuracy, use of a modern scientific methodology;
• researcher experience.
Directions:
• The best project aimed at mitigating the negative consequences of the Aral disaster;
• The best project aimed at improving the environmental situation in the saline lands of the Aral Sea region;
• The best project aimed at developing flora and fauna on the dried bottom of the Aral Sea;
• The best project aimed at developing innovative technologies against soil salinization and climate change on the dried bottom of the Aral Sea;
Winners will be allocated grants from the pool of $100 thousand for the implementation of their projects
