Coronavirus: 47 new cases recorded among the general public in Tashkent
According to the press service of the Ministry of Health, 92 more people tested positive for coronavirus in Uzbekistan, bringing the total number of cases to 8,996.
As of 17:00, July 2, the number of infection cases stands at 8,996 (+92),” the ministry’s statement reads.
It is noted that 77 new cases were identified in Tashkent, of which 47 were among the general public, and 30 – among the quarantined individuals.
In addition, 4 cases were detected among the population in the Tashkent region, 8 – in the Syrdarya region (of which 6 were in contact with patients, 2 among the residents) and 3 – in the Kashkadarya region.
So far, 5,847 people have fully recovered from the disease, 27 people died.
Currently, 3,122 people are undergoing treatment at medical facilities.
