Uzbekneftegaz denied rumors about corruption cases in Chinobod Oil Base LLC
Uzbekneftegaz JSC stated that the Chinobod Oil Base LLC has no branches at all.
It should be recalled that earlier, the press service of the State Security Service (SSS) reported that the senior officer of the Yangiyul district DIA, promising to assist a citizen in his appointment as a director of one of the branches of the Chinobod Oil Base LLC, demanded $50,000.
During an operational event held by the State Security Service together with the prosecuting bodies, he was detained while receiving $10,000 of the agreed amount near the central hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Tashkent.
As the Uzbekneftegaz press service reported, there are no branches of the Chinobod Oil Base LLC.
“First of all, we would like to note that the Chinobod Oil Base LLC has no branches. In addition, the detained police officer has nothing to do with the tank farm,” the press service said.
The company emphasized that the Uzbekneftegaz system is actively fighting corruption. In particular, a financial control and compliance department was created for this purpose.
“Briefly, the joint-stock company has been turned into a sphere free from corruption,” the company’s press service concluded.
