Elmira Basitkhanova becomes Deputy Ministry of Health
Elmira Basitkhanova has been appointed Deputy Minister of Health.
Prior to her appointment, Basitkhanova worked as the First Deputy Minister for Mahalla and Family Affairs.
Elmira Basitkhanova was born on November 10, 1958, in Tashkent. In 1981, she graduated from the Tashkent State Medical Institute.
In 2011-2016, Basitkhanova was Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Women’s Committee. She also served as Deputy Minister of Health.
In June 2019, she again headed the Women’s Committee and became Deputy Prime Minister. In mid-January of this year, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev appointed her as a member of the Senate.
In February this year, she became the First Deputy Minister for Mahalla and Family Affairs.
