Another employee of the Interior Ministry dies from coronavirus 

Lieutenant Colonel Abdulaziz Toshev, an employee of the Sergeli district DIA, died on July 12 at the age of 42, the ministerial press service reported on July 16.

“The leadership of the Sergeli district DIA expresses deep condolences to relatives and friends of the deceased in connection with the death of Lieutenant Colonel Toshev Abdulaziz, a senior specialist-engineer in the Information Technology, Communications and Information Security Group,” a letter of condolence issued by the MIA press service reads.

Reportedly, the deceased was hospitalized for treatment of another disease, he also underwent a test for coronavirus during his treatment and the result was positive.

Thus, the number of deaths from coronavirus among the MIA staff in Uzbekistan has reached 3.

Earlier, it was reported that on July 13-14, a 36-year-old officer of the Tashkent city DIA, Major A. Sh. and a 48-year-old head of the Migration and Citizenship Registration Department, Lieutenant Colonel Sh. N., died from coronavirus. The Ministry of Health confirmed the deaths on July 15. Currently, Abdulaziz Toshev’s death has not yet been included in the ministerial statistics.
