Uzbekistan to participate in International Army Games
Participants of the International Army Games, which will be held from August 23 to September 5 in the territory of five states, will undergo a mandatory two-week quarantine and pass a coronavirus test. This was announced on Tuesday by the Russian Defense Minister, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu at a conference call in the Ministry.
It is planned to hold 30 international competitions on the territory of five states – Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus and Uzbekistan.
“I would like to emphasize that during the competition the necessary conditions will be created for the prevention of coronavirus infection. All competitors will undergo a two-week quarantine and mandatory testing. Regular disinfection of competition venues and placement of teams, distancing of participants and spectators are envisaged,” TASS quoted Shoigu as saying.
The Russian Defense Minister noted that more than 160 teams from 30 countries will participate in the games.
