Mild earthquake hits Uzbekistan
On Wednesday, August 5, at 13:18, mild tremors were felt in Uzbekistan as magnitude 5 earthquake jolted Tajikistan.
According to the Republican Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring under the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the earthquake coordinates were 40.2 degrees north latitude; 70.84 degrees east longitude.
The distance to Tashkent is 181 kilometers southeast.

Namangan: 113 km, 4 points.
Andijan: 143 km, 3 points.
Fergana: 83 km, 4 points.
Guliston: 177 km, 3 points.
Jizzakh: 255 km, 3 points.
Samarkand: 336 km, 2 points.
Termez: 453 km, 2 points.
Karshi: 458 km, 2 points.
Navoi: 464 km, 2 points.
It should be reminded that 4.7 and 4.2 magnitude earthquakes in Afghanistan on July 14 and in Tajikistan on July 16 were felt in some regions of Uzbekistan.
