Officials of Uzbekneftegaz regional department looted pipes and ferrous metals worth 297 million soums

Criminal proceedings have been instituted under Part 3 of Article 167 (Paragraph “a”) of the Criminal Code.

The Romitan district branch of the Department under the Prosecutor General’s Office conducted a pre-investigation check at the request of the Gazli oil and gas production department of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

Reportedly, N.B. and B.U, the persons in charge of the inventory of the Water Supply and Sewerage Shop and the territorial subdivisions of the Department did not follow the internal rules of storage and use of the goods and materials that were at their disposal. They embezzled the entrusted pipes and secondary ferrous metals worth 297.8 million soums.

On the abovementioned facts, criminal proceedings have been initiated against N.B. and B.U. under Part 3 of Article 167 (Paragraph “a”) of the Criminal Code.
