Uzbekistan increases import of foreign-made cars
$1 billion has been spent on vehicles specifically designed for certain industries and $539.6 – on car parts.
The State Statistics Committee provided information on cars and auto spare parts imported to Uzbekistan in January-July.
It was noted that $1 billion was spent on vehicles specifically designed for certain types of industries. $539.6 was paid for automobile spare parts.
Vehicles, mainly passenger cars (excluding ones designed to carry 10 or more people), were imported for $312.3 million. $909.6 million was spent on non-industrial automobiles and their spare parts.
Electronic communications, recording and broadcasting devices cost $303.6 million, while electric cars, apparatus, instruments and their spare parts cost $365.1 million.
