Individuals promising to help with enrollment in universities for $4,000 detained in Andijan and Khorezm
Criminal proceedings have been instituted under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, an investigation is underway.
The Department under the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Andijan regional department of the State Security Service held a joint operational event, the PGO press service reported.
As noted, a teacher of the Andijan State University A.Kh., earning the trust of citizen O.A., tried to make a profit through fraud. He promised O.A. to help with enrollment in one of the departments of the university and demanded $4,000. The man was detained red-handed while receiving the money.
A similar operational event was carried out in the city of Urgench, Khorezm region.
Citizen Sh.K., making false promises to citizens D.S. and Z.A. on their enrollment in the Urgench State University, demanded $4,000. The fraudster was arrested with material evidence at the time of receiving the money through a 3rd-year student M.A. of this university.
On the aforementioned facts, criminal proceedings have been instituted under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. An investigation is underway.
