Information provided on funds allocated for construction of quarantine zones and facilities to treat coronavirus patients
599 billion soums were allocated from the Anti-Crisis Fund for the construction and equipping of health facilities and quarantine zones specialized in treating coronavirus patients.
The Minister of Finance Timur Ishmetov said this in his report to the plenary session of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis on the implementation of the state budget program for the first half of 2020.
“In particular, 234.3 billion soums were allocated for the quarantine complex in the Yukori Chirchik district of the Tashkent region (20,000 beds);
286.2 billion soums – for the construction of a special hospital in the Zangiota district of the Tashkent region (10,000 beds);
10 billion soums – for the reconstruction of a modern diagnostic laboratory complex in Tashkent;
66.1 billion soums – for the construction and equipping of special hospitals and temporary quarantine complexes in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Samarkand and Surkhandarya regions;
2.5 billion soums – for the reconstruction of the Institute of Epidemiology, Microbiology and Infectious Diseases,” the report reads.
