Senate’s seventh plenary session scheduled for September 11
A number of issues will be discussed at the plenary session, which will be held in the form of videoconferencing.
On September 4, 2020, a meeting of the Senate Council of Oliy Majlis was held. It was chaired by the Speaker of the Upper House of Parliament Tanzila Narbayeva.
According to the information service of the Senate, the meeting decided to convene the seventh plenary session of the Senate on September 11, 2020.
A number of issues will be discussed at the plenary session, which will be held in the form of videoconferencing.
In particular, the laws “On the rights of persons with disabilities”, “On international commercial arbitration”, “On prevention and treatment of narcological diseases”, “On amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with improving the activities of councils of people’s deputies” and others will be reviewed.
At the same time, it is planned to consider the report of the Minister of Finance on the implementation of the state budget program for the first half of 2020.
In addition, it is planned to discuss the state of measures taken to develop scientific activity and the issues of sending parliamentary inquiries to the Cabinet of Ministers on the conditions created for the development of women’s entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan.
