Uzbekistan may resume flights to Russia in September
Flights to Russia may resume in September. This was stated by the Director of the Agency for Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing Bakhodir Yusupaliyev in an interview with Kommersant.
“Flights to Russia may resume this month. However, it should be reminded that the number of infection cases started to increase after we relaxed lockdown measures earlier and we had to re-introduce quarantine until August 15.
From August 15, it was slightly eased and from September 5 - further. We, like all countries, are opening schools, kindergartens. Now it takes time to assess the situation in the republic. If the number of cases decreases, it will create conditions for the resumption of flights,” he said.
Previously, the Ministry of Transport said that negotiations were underway to resume flights to Russian cities.
