Cases of natural gas theft worth over 1.35 billion soums revealed in Fergana region

According to the Khududgaztaminot press service, during the inspection, which lasted 10 days, gross violations and theft of over 1.3 million cubic meters of gas were identified at 15 production facilities in the region, as well as other shortcomings associated with illegally changing indicators in gas metering devices. Damage to gas supplying enterprises amounted to more than 1.35 billion soums. 

Unauthorized connection to public gas networks, deliberate damage to metering devices, their seals, as well as unauthorized access to them in order to change their indicators are among the main violations of the rules for using natural gas.

On all facts of violations, materials were transferred to law enforcement agencies. Inspections to identify other similar cases are ongoing.
