Deputy PM Uktam Barnoyev dies aged 56
At the age of 56, Uktam Barnoyev, Deputy Prime Minister in charge of agricultural and food sectors development, has died.
According to Kun.uz source, he was undergoing treatment in Germany.
It should be recalled that on July 30, during a press conference at the Agency for Information and Mass Communications, it became known that Uktam Barnoyev had contracted the coronavirus.
Earlier on February 27, on the recommendation of Abdulla Aripov, deputies of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis considered and approved the candidacy of Uktam Barnoev for the post of Deputy Prime Minister.
Prior to his appointment as Deputy PM, Barnoyev had served as khokim of the Bukhara region.
