Fake information on tightening lockdown spread in social media
According to fake social media reports, quarantine measures in Uzbekistan will be tightened from October 25.
Some publications disseminated a screenshot from Kun.uz, which was published on July 26. It shows the decision of the Special Commission to extend the quarantine measures until August 15. However, the fake photo has the title of the old publication and false information which was edited in Photoshop.

We ask social network users to not believe such fake messages and remind that only the Special Commission can decide to impose quarantine restrictions.
Lockdown measures in Uzbekistan have been eased since August 15. In particular, vehicles, local air and rail transport have been allowed to operate. In addition, private kindergartens and schools have reopened and wedding ceremonies with a maximum of 30 guests have been allowed.
Also, road communication between the regions was restored and mosques were opened on August 17. Property markets and shopping centers began to operate on August 20.
In early September, major restrictions were lifted and international flights resumed. The Special Commission has not yet said anything about tightening the lockdown measures.
