Senate plenary session scheduled for October 21
At the meeting of the Senate Council, a decision was adopted on holding the eighth plenary session of the upper chamber on October 21 in a videoconference format.
The session will focus on a number of important issues, including the laws of Uzbekistan “On precious metals and stones”, “On amendments and additions to the Administrative Responsibility Code”, “On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of Uzbekistan for further improvement of the legislation on public security”, “On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of Uzbekistan”.
In addition, it is planned to hear the report of the Jizzakh region khokim on the development of territories and the activities of local councils of people’s deputies.
The senators will also consider the submission of a parliamentary request to the Cabinet of Ministers on problems with the drinking water supply.
The results of parliamentary inquiries sent to the Cabinet of Ministers on the state of road safety and the enforcement of legislation in this area are expected to be addressed.
