GDP per capita amounts to 11.9 million soums in Jan-Sept 2020
In January-September 2020, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Uzbekistan in current prices amounted to 408.2 trillion soums and increased by 0.4% compared to January-September 2019.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the GDP deflator index amounted to 11.8% compared to prices in January-September 2019.
In January-September 2020, in the structure of GDP, the gross value added in the production of goods amounted to 240.3 trillion soums, services – 136.4 trillion soums, and net taxes on products – 31.5 trillion soums.
In January-September 2020, GDP growth slowed to 0.4% from 5.9% in January-September 2019 and 5.7% in January-September 2018.
At the same time, the GDP deflator index also slowed to 11.8% in January-September 2020 from 18.5% in January-September 2019 and 30.5% in January-September 2018.
During the period under review, the nominal GDP at the average exchange rate amounted to $41,072.2 million (it was $42 220.1 million in January-September 2019).
GDP per capita amounted to 11.9 million soums (or the equivalent of $1,203).
