Residents run riot near the regional khokimiyat in Andijan

According to the press service of the regional administration, an unknown person disseminated false information that the khokim of the region, Shukhrat Abdurakhmonov, was personally receiving citizens.

Therefore, the residents came to the khokimiyat building and demanded a meeting with the khokim. However, they did not comply with traffic regulations and caused unrest.

On the same day, all deputy regional khokims under the supervision of the first deputy received citizens. They also explained that Shukhrat Abdurakhmonov receives citizens on the last Saturday of each month on an approved schedule.

The khokimiyat press service stressed that officials had compiled a list of appeals and that all problems would be solved by the relevant organizations.
