Woman attempts to sell her 4-month-old daughter for 120 million soums
On October 28, during a joint operational event carried out by officers of the Khorezm regional DIA and the State Security Service, 22-year-old S.M. was detained when selling her 4-month-old daughter Z.M. for 120 million soums.

According to the Investigation Department, the woman was detained red-handed while receiving $5,000.
On this fact, the Investigation Department of the Khiva city DIA initiated a criminal case against S.M. under Article 135-3, paragraph “a” (human trafficking committed against a person under eighteen years of age) of the Criminal Code.
Currently, the citizen is involved in a criminal case as a suspect and detained in a procedural order. The investigation continues.
