Shavkat Mirziyoyev speaks with acting President of Kyrgyzstan by phone
On November 14, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the acting President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.
Topical issues in the Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of friendship, neighborliness and strategic partnership were discussed during the phone talk, the presidential press service reports.
Particular attention was paid to promoting joint projects and programs whose implementation will contribute to the enhancement of practical cooperation between the two countries, primarily in trade, industry, agriculture, transport, interregional and humanitarian exchanges, as well as in other priority areas.
The need was noted to intensify the activities of the Intergovernmental Commission on Delimitation and Demarcation of the State Border, as well as the Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation and the Council of Heads of Border Regions.
The importance of continuing close coordination and assistance in countering the pandemic impact was emphasized.
Mirziyoyev reaffirmed that Uzbekistan fully supports the brotherly people of Kyrgyzstan in their aspiration for peaceful and stable development, wellbeing and prosperity.
