Jakhongir Artikhodjayev chairs Yoga Federation of Uzbekistan

Yoga Federation of Uzbekistan has been established, the Tashkent city administration reported.

The opening ceremony of the Federation in Tashkent was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Justice, Foreign Affairs, Health, Physical Culture and Sports, the National Olympic Committee, the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, the Indian Embassy in Uzbekistan and the Indian Cultural Center in Tashkent.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the khokim of Tashkent city, chairman of the Yoga Federation of Uzbekistan Jakhongir Artikhodjayev congratulated everyone, especially those who practice yoga, on the establishment of the facility.

He spoke about the ongoing work to popularize yoga among the population, noting that the “Development Program of the Yoga Federation for 2020-2024” has been approved and systematic work is underway to implement it.
