A draft decision of the capital's khokim “On measures to set regulated prices for water supply and sewerage services in Tashkent” has been published on the portal for public discussion.
The project states that in order to implement the planned projects, for the timely repayment of external loans and elimination of faults in networks, it is necessary to increase the operating tariffs of LLC “Toshkent shahar suv ta’minoti”.
According to the document, the authorities propose the following new rates per cubic meter of drinking water:
- for the population, budget organizations and wholesale consumers (without VAT) - from 310 to 500 soums;
- for commercial organizations - from 730 to 1,500 soums.
Proposed tariffs on sewerage services:
- for the population, budget organizations and wholesale consumers (without VAT) – from 250 to 350 soums;
- for commercial organizations - from 460 to 820 soums.
The draft document is currently under public discussion and it may be amended or rejected.
