Massive fire breaks out on the banks of Chirchik River, Tashkent
A huge fire has broken out on the banks of the Chirchik River in Bektemir district of Tashkent, the press service of the Emergencies Ministry reported.
“The incident happened in the Nurafshon mahalla of the district. On the banks of the Chirchik River on an area of 100 sq. meters, fragments of cardboard boxes and old wooden pieces caught fire,” the report says.
Within five minutes, firefighting and rescue teams of the Tashkent City Emergencies Department arrived at the scene. The fire was extinguished, there were no casualties, the report concluded.
