Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan discuss strengthening trade-economic cooperation
On February 23, within the framework of a working visit to Kabul, the Foreign Affairs Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with his Afghan counterpart Mohammad Hanif Atmar.
At the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of Uzbekistan-Afghanistan constructive cooperation, including interaction in the fields of politics, security, trade, investment and others, the MFA said.
The Afghan side reaffirmed the country’s unwavering support for the consistent efforts of Uzbekistan to facilitate the peace process in Afghanistan and its economic recovery.
At the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on other issues of the international and regional agenda.
Abdulaziz Kamilov invited the Afghan side to the high-level international conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities”, which will be held this year in Tashkent.
