The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, Sardor Umurzakov, held a meeting with the Secretary-General of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group, Ghassan Al-Baba, during which a number of issues related to preparations for the 46th meeting of the IDB Board of Directors in Uzbekistan in 2021 were discussed.
The meeting reviewed the preparations and the activities of the organizational committee and specialized working groups.
It was announced that the bank’s management is currently considering the prospects for organizing the visit of IDB President Bandar Al Hajjar to Uzbekistan in May this year to conduct a roadshow dedicated to the broad coverage of the upcoming meeting in mass media.
2,000 people representing 57 member countries of the bank, international organizations and financial institutions, the foreign business community and the media are expected to attend the meetings.
