Ismatulla Irgashev holds talks with Afghanistan’s FM and National Security Advisor
On March 18, the Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev held talks with the Foreign Minister of the IRA Mohammad Hanif Atmar
At the meeting, Mohammad Hanif Atmar highlighted the important role of Uzbekistan in the political settlement of the Afghan conflict, the country’s efforts in the implementation of infrastructure and economic projects in Afghanistan, in particular the construction of the Surkhan-Puli-Khumri power line and the Mazar-i-Sharif – Kabul – Peshawar railway, the MFA press service reported.
The parties also exchanged views on the priority areas of bilateral cooperation.
In addition, Ismatulla Irgashev held talks with the Afghan President’s National Security Advisor Hamdullah Mohib.
The sides discussed issues of Uzbek-Afghan cooperation in the field of security, enhancing collaboration in the implementation of infrastructure projects in Afghanistan with the participation of Uzbekistan.
