Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan discuss joint infrastructure projects
On March 20, Abdulaziz Kamilov had a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Mohammad Hanif Atmar.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for further development of cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres, the MFA said.
Also, special attention was paid to the implementation of transport, communication, energy and other infrastructure projects, in particular, the construction of the Surkhan-Puli-Khumri power line and the Mazar-i-Sharif-Kabul-Peshawar railway.
In addition, the sides reviewed and agreed on a plan for upcoming bilateral events.
