Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs dismissed from office

In accordance with a relevant decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs has been relieved of his post. 

Abdugafur Ahmedov has been dismissed from office as chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers.

It is noted that he was transferred to another job.

Ahmedov has been heading the Committee since early September 2019.

He previously worked in the State Security Service system.
