Ravshan Ermatov elected first deputy chairman of NOC
Ravshan Ermatov has been elected first deputy chairman of the National Olympic Committee (NOC), the press service of the NOC reported.

Ermatov’s candidacy for this position was proposed by the head of the committee, Rustam Shoabdurahmanov.
Prior to his current appointment – since February 2020 – Ravshan Ermatov had worked as first deputy minister of sports and since June 2019 – vice-president of the Uzbekistan Football Association.
“I am very pleased that from now on we will work together to achieve common goals, for the benefit of Uzbek sports. With the Tokyo Olympics approaching, we are getting more and more worried. I hope that at the Olympics, we will fulfill our mission together and please our people, the government with our victories,” Ermatov said.
He retains his post as the first vice-president of the Uzbekistan Football Association.
